Wish List: Black

I been meaning to do a wish list for a while now. But I just hate looking for things that I cant have and I get very picky over things and wonder is it worth it. But these are either I cant afford, or is sold out and Im trying to get.

The AW12 season is full of black and dark vampire looks with the metals and shine. Some items you can wear in the summer and transcend it to winter collection.

Rock the boots with shorts over festival, with a maxi skirt and jeans over the winter. The skirt is lovely casual like this and can be worn for evening events. The fur shrug I cant wait to get and wear over my leather jacket over the AW.

Night Out: Tyga Performs @ DSTRK

After my day out to Canterbury I also had to get home, get ready and make it down to DSTRK. Tiered but still holding on I managed a shorts jump suit that I usually wear during the day and just dressed it up with the gold multi layer necklace and matched it up with gold sandals and bangles. Think Jlo on this one. You can dress up a day dress with bling and metals.

I have a members card for DSTRK that I have never used. This was the 1st time I was going. My members card lets me cue jump, member plus 1 guest gets in for free, access to VIP, 1 free drink at the VIP bar, and 10% discount on drinks.

The cue was long as they took a while to get people in. The door staff were nice and not as pretentious as the staff at China White on a Sat and Movida last Fri. Lets try the card... Went to the front of the cue showed them my card and hello, rope open and man shouts "member plus 1 guest". Get to the girl she says "£20" I reply with my friends guest list she say "oh sorry that wasn't for you, you can head straight through"

DSTRK has 2 areas a lounge area and the club. The Lounge had a wall of wine bottles and looks like some nice restaurant even. The club area joins by a curtain. They had dancers perform and the dance floor in the middle moves up and down for the performance. Tables and DJ around and the VIP section right next to it.

Tyga was late (nothing new) didn't perform on stage but did a bit from the VIP section that we were in. DuPree was in the house as well and I even bumped into one of my footballers (which made me feel like I was working a bit and didn't want him to see me party out, even though we are cool about it)

It was a good night, me and my friend partied like we don't care and it attracted some attention that other tables were asking us to join them. My inner Jlo even had me salsa on the dance floor.

Day Out: Canterbury

Its been  busy week, and regardless I decided to take time and drive the family down to Canterbury. Famous for a beheaded Bishop, a Smelly tale of pilgrims, and Orlando Bloom.

With the hot weather its was a perfect idea for a trip out. I wanted to take some pictures of Canterbury style but I got a bit occupied with making sure my mum and aunt was ok walking as well as looking after Pistachio our dog. I've been meaning to do a segment on street style in different locations but also scared to take pictures of strangers! lol.

So I went there in my tone sur tone outfit. I love this skirt, from Zara. The colour is mid season and, when you walk and the wind blows it looks cute. The tee is also Zara a rock edge vibe with the rolled up sleeves. I rocked it out more with my gladiator sandals with studs, a gold belt and, multi necklace. I feel very New York Ballerina.

The street style of Canterbury is not edgy. I can hear the guys on their phones talking about what to wear as they are planning to go out that night and the men's style is very Olli Murrs. The girls are in day dresses you would see in Top Shop and the likes. For a town that has many people acting and performing. Singing and juggling outside tourist spots and a school of arts. There is not much of individuality here or trying to stand out like London. You see many students around as well as school trips and tourists. They have lots of shops from jack wills and vintage markets.

I loved the area being small and relaxing. The people and town is dog friendly as well. If I went to school here no doubt I would be by the west gate park relaxing by the river. If you ever go take the boat ride!!

Night Out: Kardashian's Host Movida

Movida used to be a bar / restaurant, some grime club till it was re launched as Movida, and became a well known celeb hang out.

It was recently re launched and if my memory serves me right with the addition of a more quiet bar area as you pass by the entrance... yet my nights there have been full on and memory should not be counted on.

I'm only managing to post this now cause that Friday night was my work weekend and I had stock take so I have been trying to catch up on sleep and rest every chance I have had.

The Kardashian's is a popular TV show, that if I ever catch it I do have a gander (but its usually the old episodes, so I have no idea what is going on) and they are here to take on London, like they tried New York and Miami. They have crossed the shores and are here to host and party London style.

With Jay-Z and Kanye in in concert at the O2, they held the after party at Movida on Friday night. The que was ridiculous and the lady did turn down many people on looks and dress code. My friend even got turned down on dress code "he's to casual" with jeans, tails, chains and a low v neck tee. She wanted him in a shirt and trousers "more business" she said... errr who parties in a suit? if your not Scott! Anyway the guy let him in saying "he's obviously a dancer"

Girls were not let in on "your not dressed right" or "we are not taking people from the guest list at the moment" if you hear those lines its the door girl saying you don't look right for the club. These kind of places you now have to be a certain dress size and style to get in unless you know the right people, cause when you get in there are people that makes you wonder where the back door was.

There were too many people trying to take pics of the celebs that they were not even partying no more. All I can say is I had great fun with my bunch of friends and they played great music that night because of the celebs that were there. There was more hip hop and RnB then they would normally play. So there was a lot of dancing from our table. Kudos to Movida for having more good looking men in one club... in all my years I have never been so distracted that I hardly took any pics of the party.

The night wasn't a loss on the celeb spotting.. since it is such a waste of time trying to look when I can be partying and enjoying myself.. look who I spotted by the kitchen... poor guy.. I just took the pic and walked...

ASOS / Starbucks Trend Blend

I just started using ASOS's fashion finder. Its like, when I was a child I had this wheel where you can pick different tops to go with different bottoms to make an outfit for a doll or something? Just an internet version where you can make mood boards of things you can actually buy! As well as adding in outfits, you can upload your looks (which I haven't even done for here let alone add there) and enter competitions.

Today I entered a Starbucks competition, where you can win Starbucks goodies and a holiday. Which for me is a win win situation cause all I ever do is look for a holiday and drink Starbucks! It's running for a few weeks and each week someone wins.

This week the trend you post is Road House. "eh?" yeah that was me.. Google time! Apart from an old movie with Patrick Swayze. A road house is where you stop over and have a drink and mostly party at. Well that's what it sounded like to me. A stop over pub! and a pic of this lady....

The trend blend is Rock meets Pastels. Think Prada SS12.

So I went with road trip shorts, rock accessories (down to the pastel nails but with the rock croc paint on top effect), pretty in pink top cut in a rock way and the obligatory denim shirt you tie around your waist A la Americana dixi chic style. And it kinda plays homage to the girl in the film.

Kinda like this trend blend I idea....

Outfits: When The Shoe Fits

Its another wet day here in London, and all I been trying to think about is

a. what do I want for my wish list apart from a holiday?
b. there is no point in a summer outfit / shopping
c. why I am stuck at home...

So I went on line and tried to find some kind of inspiration since I cant go out and model and take pictures. All due to the rain and, kind of hard to take pictures of yourself on your own.

There are a few outfits in my mind. Personally I'm a bit rock edge, which I think you will see in my style. Today I tried to embrace the prints and the bright colours. Why be all down and black when colours can make us smile.

I have been wearing leggings a lot lately which can go with different shoes. So why not Rock out in heals at a bar? look dry and chic in festival wellies, or keep it real for a concert or weekend in trainers.

You can also follow my outfits on ASOS Fashion Finder.
