Thom Brown has been making his name since 2001, a winner of the GQ Magazine designer of the year 2008 and awarded the"most influential designer in menswear award" in 2010. So a man to watch out for. You might know him for his Gamme Bleu Moncler sportswear introduction in 2009. His signature is the red, white, and blue stripes.
By perusing his 2012 summer and winter collection you can see that this is a man that is not one to play safe. Is he the couture of menswear? where most men's shows are almost off the peg and wearable rather then the theatric display of fashion that he has presented this year.
A man who started by made to measure suiting you can see his strengths and passion is in the tailoring even in his women's collection.
With all that said I cant say much about his actual RTW since I haven't had the chance to get anyone to try them on, so I cant talk about fits and silhouettes. On line you can see his collection of shirts, ties / accessories (even underwear), knits, shoes , Leather goods, and Eyewear. There is no womenswear available to purchase and suites are made to measure. Through pictures it looks smart but casual, a preppy style that many men are sporting in their casual wear (think turn up trousers, shirts and geeky glasses) with with an air of The Hampton boys in the summer and a reminder of Hilfiger. Maybe its the stripes or the New Yorker in them.
